Attorney fees: For every real estate transaction over 29.347 euros in Athens and Piraeus and for 11.739 euros elsewhere in Greece it is mandatory to hire a lawyer. The attorney’s fees are:
§ 1% for contracts of 44.020 euros and under
§ 0.5% for contracts of 44.020 - 1.407,371 euros
§ 0.4% for contracts of 1.0407,351 - 2.934,702 euros
For investigating the title and the deeds of a property an indicative fee is 150 - 200 euros.
Notary’s fee: For every real estate transaction taking plave in Greece the buyer is required to hire a Notary as well as an attorney. The notary’s fee is 1% of the contract value. You may need to pay some additional fees for stamps, tax documents etc.
Realtor’s fee: The realtor’s commission in Greece is 2% of the property value + 19% V.A.T. (sales tax) on the commission. The Realtor is paid by both parties, meaning buyers and sellers. Each party pays 2%.
Property Registry fee: 0.475% of the contract value
Registration of Mortgage (home loan): 0.75 - 0.80% times the 120% of the mortgage value.
